Thirty Eight Years ago today, the Conservative party chose Mrs Thatcher to become leader. In the process she became the first female leader of a political party in the UK and led the Conservative party to victory in three general elections.

It is quite clear that history will record that Margaret Thatcher was the greatest Prime Minister this country has had since Churchill.
